Balance & Fall Prevention Therapy
What is it?
Balance and Fall Prevention Therapy is a personalized program designed to improve your balance, strength, coordination, walking mechanics, mobility, and confidence with everyday movement. Falls are one of the leading causes of injury as we age, but they are not an inevitable part of getting older. Your physical therapist will evaluate the factors that may contribute to fall risk, including strength, balance, reaction time, walking ability, and overall mobility.
How can it help?
Whether you have experienced a fall, feel unsteady on your feet, or simply want to maintain your independence as you age, balance training can help you move with greater confidence and safety. Treatment may include strength training, walking exercises, stepping drills, reaction training, and activities designed to improve how your body responds to changes in position, uneven surfaces, and everyday challenges. The goal is not only to reduce your risk of falling but also to help you stay active, independent, and safely participate in the activities you enjoy.
